If you couldn't make it to the Association of Handcrafted Automobiles (AHA) show in 2005, here's your opportunity to experience it on your TV screen. There is no plot but it's like walking through the show without getting out of your chair.
I've been shooting video of the annual AHA Knott's Berry Farm show for several years. This year you can see about 200 cars in DVD-R format or as a VHS tape. The video is organized to enable you view similar cars together (e.g. Cobra, Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari, et al.) The video plays 23 minutes and is fairly fast paced at around 7-10 seconds per car. The DVD version has a menu allowing you to go to the desired section without searching through a VHS tape. The DVD version also allows you to stop and look at a high quality image if you are interested in a particular car. Click here to see a low resolution 2-minute sample.
The video was shot with a 3-CCD digital video camera and edited on a G4 Mac computer. All VHS tapes are recorded from a DVD so there is no generation loss and of course the DVD is burned right from the computer. (PAL format users should verify that NTSC recordings can be played on their equipment.)
The cost is $16 for the DVD-R disc or the VHS tape - both postpaid in USA*. Payment by check, money order or by PayPal is accepted. You can set up a Pay Pal account free by going to www.paypal.com . Please e-mail Vern Hance to order your video and indicate method of payment. I will confirm your order and provide payment instructions.
*Please add $5 for postage outside USA.
