Pecan Sour Cream Coffee Cake

  Cake
1  c      sugar

1/2 c   butter
3          eggs
2  c      flour
1  t       baking powder
1  t       baking soda
1/4  t    salt
1  c       sour cream
1/2 c    raisins

          Mix flour, powder, soda and salt and set aside.       Preheat oven to 350.
          Cream butter and sugar with a mixer.
          Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.
           Add flour, soda, powder and salt alternately with sour cream.
            Sprinkle raisins over the top and stir in.

               Pecan Topping
    3/4 c   brown sugar, packed
    2  t       butter
    1  T       flour
    1  t       cinnamon
    1  c       pecans, chopped  

    Combine butter, sugar, cinnamon and flour and mix until completely mixed.
     Stir in chopped nuts.
         set aside.

        Spread 1/2 of the cake mixture in a greased 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the pecan topping.
         Add the remaining cake dough  and sprinkle with the rest of the topping mixture.

                  Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes or until done.
       (Mom would stick a broom straw into it to see if the straw came out clean)
